A council representative at a meeting last week did admit that "keys for the tip were given out to waste contractors some time ago" but they have no record of which contractors they gave them to, or who has them now...! We have an undertaking from them that they are going to change the locks... They say that the waste they have is "clean fill" for the tip.. but they don't know how much is going in there (or what it is, I would contend). If you don't have a digi converter box for your main tv, and digi adapter boxes for all the others, you're stuck with 2 channels and snow (think "Poltergeist".)Now our days are spent watching the screen pixelate at odd moments, and screaming: "FUCKING COMCAST!!!!" Yup. We are the digital guinea pigs, and Comcast is the mad scientist. The only one in this house who gets an excellent signal with no pixelation is The Mama. The digital gods know better than to fuck with The Mama, methinks. And btw...what the hell is a "tip"? Is that Aussie baby talk for the "dump"? Jeez. Speak English, would ya?
